Nancy Finds Prison Connection, Possible New Career on 'Weeds' (VIDEO)

The seventh season of 'Weeds' (Mon, 10PM ET on Showtime) kicked off with some major changes for our principal characters. If you haven't watched it yet, you need to be somewhere else right now. Like maybe in front of your television watching it. You've been warned. !!SPOILER ALERT!! After three years(!) in prison, Nancy gets out on good behavior and we're introduced to the new status quo for 'Weeds.' That's right, just like that it's three years later and Nancy's finishing out her sentence in a halfway house. With the cartel gone, she's even safer for now. But, she's looking to mess that up real quick like.

'Weeds' EP on Planning a Season That May Be Its Last

It’s no secret that the fate of  Weeds  -- as it’s debuting its seventh season Monday on Showtime -- is precarious. Whispers that Season 7 will be its last have become harder to ignore as creator and showrunner  Jenji Kohan  has disclosed that her contract is up and there’s currently no order on an eighth. Fans just witnessed Showtime’s  United States of Tara  season finale, which became its series finale when the network announced its cancelation last month. Interestingly enough, fans and criticsseemed at peace with the show’s unexpected final episode. Weeds Season 7 Premiere Clip: Nancy-on-Inmate Action!

Nancy Botwin has not exactly been known as a prude throughout her run as a drug-dealing (mostly) single mother on Weeds . Based on the following clip from the season seven premiere, it doesn't look like much has changed for her, despite the fact that the episode picks up three years after the conclusion of season six.
