Penn & Teller Bullshit is perhaps the most amazing show I have ever seen. Although at first I wanted to just shove it into the Comedy genre, Bullshit is really a multi-genre show.

Hosted by magicians/comedians Penn and his Silent Partner, Teller, the Show aims to debunk what the two see as pseudoscientific ideas, supernatural beliefs, popular fads and misconceptions.

Sure, the show is a little politically biased, since both Penn & Teller are Libertarians, but the two attempt (and succeed) in using logic and facts in their arguments.

The aim of Bullshit is to apply critical thinking to misconceptions and the show does this with Penn & Teller's characteristically blunt and aggressive presentation. There is plenty of swearing and pornographic images, but the show is not pointless yuck, the swearing and pornographic images are used in a "tasteless" way, but are used in a way my pastor couldn't argue with.

Here are some subjects the two have tackled:

Alien Abduction, Alternative Medicine, ESP, The War On Drugs, Animal Rights, Gun Control and Environmentalism and Porn.

The best thing about Penn & Teller: Bullshit, is that they aren't afraid to admit when they are wrong. One of the first episodes the two did was about Second Hand Smoke, in which they claimed (due to the studies available at the time) that there was no evidence that Second Hand Smoke was dangerous.... they were right that there was no evidence <b> at that time. <b>

Since then, of course, there have been numerous studies which show that second hand smoke is dangerous and does lead to cancer. However Penn & Teller have changed their position on the topic, but that doesn't make their arguments (which were centered around the New York indoor smoking ban) any less right!

Penn & Teller Bullshit, a ray of truth in a world full of... well bullshit.
