   Personally, I like subscribing to shows - that way I see when an episode/movie has been posted. It remembers what I like to see rather than search for it each time (great job on 99% of the sites great organization).

   However, I have an issue with all the notifications I see on the "notification" box. I'm not much into reading all the comments on all the shows - especially since there are so many who use this site (which is a good thing) but it means that I get sooo many notifications about comments that I have to fish for the episode updates.

   Why can't I choose what kind of notifications I see? For example, in notifications, I'd like to only see when an episode is available and when a reply has been made to a comment that I'd written or specifically subscribed to (not the whole page)

   If I'm interested in a particular show, or if Im on its page, I'll read the comments, but I dont need to be notified when person X said something about show Y.

   The notifications on profile pages are kind of a mess. Particularly since the most important part (when stuff is on) gets buried, just like you said.
