Send a Compliment at 13:11 PST, 22 December, 2008As part of an on-going effort to provide better tools for the SR community to communicate better and work together more effectively, we've created a new system for tracking "todos". The idea is pretty simple - see something that needs work (links added, pages cleaned up, spam removed, pages consolidated, etc.) add a todo - basically a new discussion post tagged to these two pages:
You're the owner of this todo. When someone starts working on it - they should make a comment on the post thread, and then the owner can tag it from SideReel ToDos (New) to SideReel ToDos (In Progress) and from there to SideReel ToDos (Complete) when it's done.
It's clearly not perfect, but it's an easy way to leverage our tools and provide a way for users and moderators to interact around SideReel.

Sounds interesting. I'd move this FAQ to News, though, so it doesn't get mixed in with the to-dos and perhaps we should put the to-dos under reviews so they only show up on this page, rather than on the discussion or news pages?
ok am a little confussed so if i want to know if someone has a link for a tv show or a film do i add it to the to do section?

Wow. You all are fast! These pages are part of a redesign to the http://www.sidereel.com/_us/getinvolved Get Involved pages which will show up in the next push. In the mean time they're going to look a little, um, naked!
@tvqueen - great comments - I'm actually ok with these threads showing up in discussions, it'll help give it visibility, but we'll see where it goes from here and we may pull it out later.
@guardianofhell (nice name btw) - yes, sorry for the confusion. you certainly can use the todos as a place to make requests!

I'm not sure I understand this site. As a non-paying customer, is there any way to watch more than 72 minutes of video straight? If not, does everyone just join Megavideo or is there some other way to watch the shows?
Megavideo is not SideReel. MV is a video host (like Ninjavideo.net, Supernovatube, etc.) that SideReel viewers submit links to that site.
Yes, they have an imposed limit on viewing now. There are discussion posts telling ways to get around the limit, but there are also other links usually that are non-MV.

Thanks - I was watching Friday Night Lights and it seems like all links are Megavideo. I moved to Big Bang Theory and see there are many other options.

I have noticed a lot of mix-ups in the episodes this week. The Mentalist jumped from episode 4 to 8. Ghost Whisperer has episodes that haven't aired yet kind of like The Mentalist but they weren't all showing on The Mentalist. It is very confusing. I usually just click on the last episode added and this week it has not been right. I want some of what you guys are smokin!!
