Rescue Me's 5th season is still far from airing with its planned return of Spring 2009, but some new casting is underway!
The latest news is that there's a casting deal in the works with Michael J. Fox for multiple episodes as "a love interest for Denis Leary's on-screen ex, Janet (Andrea Roth)" (Ausiello).

Oh Michael J. Fox...how I love thee!
That being said, if I recall, the last time he appeared on TV he was looking noticeably sick(er) - so unless he all of a sudden is doing way better - I can't imagine that his Parkinson's won't be visible...so I wonder if they are going to write that in somehow.
From stuff that I read elsewhere, Michael J Fox's character will be in a wheelchair. That will cover for a lot of his possible symptoms. As for what they will mention his disability to be, I don't know.
