producer russel t davis says it could be argued the next doctor should be a women and says aqmy winehouse would be a great doctor or dame judi dench. The male successors are rumored robert carlyle james nesbitt or jason statham
I would love a girl to play the Doctor, like Judy Dench, or see a return of a minor character on DW as the Doctor. Someone British.
As much as I ADORE David, I know it's not possible for him to always be the Doctor. I think either Robert Carlyle or Jason Statham would work famously.
I woman Doctor would be a great way to upset the status quo but Amy Winehouse would be scary. Regardless of gender, the person portraying the Doctor should be able to act.
Robert Carlyle or James Nesbitt would be good doctors, but I personally think that out of everyone in the world, Alan Davis would make the best doctor. I'm not opposed to trying out having a girl doctor but I think amy winehouse is a bad decision. she'd always be too stoned to film an episode and she couldn't fit her beehive hair through the TARDIS doors, let alone fit it into the 'bigger on the inside' TARDIS itself.
AS IF AMY WINEHOUSE CAN ACT!!!!!! She'd be sitting behind the tardis shooting herself up with drugs and drinking herself into a comma. KEEP DAVID T HE IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!
i have a feeling that something will happen to the Doctor (kidnapped or lost in time somewhere) and his daughter will come back and try to find him. captain Jack will come back as her plus one and help her find him.
Yeah, right. For one thing, anyone who has been paying even half attention knows that Russel T. Davis isn't even going to be the executive producer anymore after this season.
i don't like the idea of a woman doctor...and i don't think that it will be possible, especially since the doctor had a wife and kids...and i still think that they should do something to make the doctor younger and give him more lives...after all the master got more lives, so why not the doctor!? i don't think that the doctor's previous relations would like to see him as a woman...it would be a big turn off...
Isn't Alan Rickman still alive? Now there is an actor worthy of becoming The Doctor. One of the best and longest credited actors, from Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet to Judge Turpin in Sweeney Todd. And can we forget his comedic appearance as Metatron in Dogma. Broad range to say the least.

Remember the Doctor has a daughter now. If you want a women doctor, they can go down that rout, instead of our doctor having a sex change :)
wtf
yeah right.

THERE CAN NEVER BE A WOMAN DOCTOR. it will be joke to have women doctor and plus i'll stop watching the show because it will be stupid.
"amy winehouse" as a doctor that made laugh. ha ha ha
The Doctor needs to stay a dude, especially the kind of dude he is. He is both intelligent and effeminate at the right times.
i have a feeling that something will happen to the Doctor (kidnapped or lost in time somewhere) and his daughter will come back and try to find him. captain Jack will come back as her plus one and help her find him.
amy winehouse does have to act just get high enough to make her believe she is the doctor.
