Two Major Studios Move to Adapt "Sherlock Holmes"

Sherlock Holmes is getting not one, but two revamps starting this fall.


Guy Ritchie will try his hand at the famous logician working from a rewrite of tony Peckham's script, based on Lionel Wigram's upcoming comic book "Sherlock Holmes." According to Warner Bros. reps, this movie will attempt to reinvent Holmes and his sidekick Dr. Watson. In March, Wigram told Variety that the new Holmes would "be more adventuresome and take advantage of his skills as a boxer and swordsman."
