Cleveland Casting: Lathan and Long

Sanaa Lathan and Nia Long have joined the (voice) cast of The Cleveland Show, the Family Guy spinoff set to air midseason next year.

Lathan will voice the love interest for the title character and Long will voice her daughter.

I don't want to sound sour, but I think The Cleveland Show is a terrible idea. The character is droopy, uninteresting, and if he's the main character of his own show, he's gonna have more lines than anyone, and seeing as it takes him about 2 minutes to get out a sentance, it'd be running for about an hour with a usual half hour script! They should do a Quagmire Show, or an Opie Show, or maybe even a Tom Tucker Show. Even THAT would be better than a Cleveland show!

I think the Cleveland Show looks great! In the trailer he is actually speaking at a normal pace unlike in family guy plus the other characters will add to the humour. Damn keep an open mind, jeez!
