Izzie is Staying. Let's Move On.
Today, at the TCA's Press Tour, ABC has settled the "Are they killing Izzie off of Grey's?" question once and for all.
Says ABC president Steve McPherson, Heigl "is absolutely staying with the show". There is also supposedly a great story line planned for the character this year, crafted by series creator Shonda Rhimes herself.
Furthermore, trying to downplay the "scandal" as a whole, Eric "McSteamy" Dane claims, that "it took on a life of its own in the outside, but didn't really exist within the show."
Good to hear. I've heard about this nonsense enough!

I really hope the whole deal did take more of a life of its own as I like to think well of Heigl, and I'm glad to see she'll be sticking around on Grey's! Hopefully this will all just lead to an improving show and a reminder to the actors not to get big heads... we shall see!
