Let's just get that out there now.

You see, I really do appreciate that Isaiah Washington has been trying to make amends for his previous errors.

Most recently: he has donated to "Equality California, an organization committed to stopping an anti-gay marriage amendment on California's ballot this November" in honor of his publicist's marriage to his life partner.

Said Washington's publicist in reference to the donation:

"He said he wishes us all the best and he supports the rights of others in our community to get married."

I also recognize that it might not have even been Washington's decision to make this public news - oh who am I kidding - the donation was in honor of his publicist! So, it's announcements like these that make me wonder if Washington is trying too hard...

I'm glad that Isaiah Washington supports gay marriage and donated to Equality California. I really am. I just don't want to hear about it. If it wasn't a publicity stunt, he would have done so without a resulting article in TV Guide.

I want to be writing about Isaiah Washington's acting career for a change. Am I the only one that feels this way?
