I'm still really excited about the movie. And really the article didn't say that the movie was bad, only that it wasn't amazing in a big-screen, post-Dark Knight world.
1. The plot made no internal sense, besides trillions of character inconsistencies that showed up between the two agents.
2. There was NO paranormal activity. Basically, a bad imitation of CSI type investigation.
3. The dialogue was clunky at BEST. Most of the time, it was just intentionally vague. Chris Carter resorted to actually using the title of the movie as a line of dialogue at least THREE times.

Never really got "into" X-Files but judging from previews and trailers this movie was just bound to crash and burn before lift off

WORST. MOVIE. EVER.
