New Line Cinema and Hairspray (2007) creator John Waters are teaming up once more to make...
Hairspray 2!
None of the original cast has been signed yet (nor was a sequel originally a part of their contracts), but director-choreographer Adam Shankman, producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron and songwriters Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman will all be returning.
The studio is hoping to get the original cast on board and is looking at a Summer 2010 release.
