I signed!!!
Not at all, stories like this one which have a definite beginning, middle, and end are meant to do just that... END. It's just like with battlestar, the show is going out on top and will forever be known as a masterpiece of storytelling, not something that will be watered down so much that it looses all semblance of art.

I am sorry I did not read that. I can assure you that I have not gotten any spam for signing and I have signed other petitions from the site before. Really. But if you don't want to sign from there google some other Avatar petitions if you really want a new season. For those of you who don't want a new season. That's fine just don't post those "its not going to happen" post. Post it as a new review or discussion but not as a comment in a hope thread! please....
I signed it. Even though I believe that the finale was great, I think that if they wanted to just end it, they shouldn't have left any unanswered questions to keep people wondering. That gives people the urge and reason to want more. Since there are these unanswered questions, I think that there should be at least a spinoff or at least one more season to answer all these questions. It would please the fans that want more and for those that would want it to end, I don't think they would be upset about one more season.
Hi guys, We should write letters to Mike and Bryan as well as Paramount Pictures to make more Avatar anime series because they don't know how many fans want to watch it. Clearly Bryan and Mike are working for Paramount Pictures(PP) and PP want to make movies which will attract more paying audience i.e the adults. So if we want to get PP's attention we need to ask our parents to write to them as well as do rally/protest every where so every one would know how much we love avatar and we want more avatar anime. :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( If any one has any addresses please let me know and I'll write to them.
Well, I'm afraid if avatar goes TOO long, it may end up like Pokemon [I don't know about you, but the earlier pokemon was much better than it was now.]
But i agree, I think Avatar should run for at least one more season [Book 4: Air]. Like rikkizanefan said, another season would give it enough time to tie up the loose ends. then it may end with everyone happy!

if it never ended mike and bryan would not let it go bad they are great writers
I'm all for the loose ends being tied up, but maybe these will be in the [rumored] upcoming movie like what happened with FMA?

I miss avatar: the last airbender a lot.
ATLA is and always will be amazing, but creating a new season simply for the sake of merchandising ect will set it down the dark path pokemon and digimon went down. I believe an OVA is in order, one or two extra episodes for the sake of those loose ends, but not an entire season. maybe in years to come the story can continue with a different avatar, or maybe the same in a new age: but not yet. i say that avatar is done for now.

OMG! I am 27 y.o. and don't seem to like cartoon movies, but when I am forced to because I have no choice but to watch my niece. Her mother left a DVD of Avatar Season 1 and 2. But no season 3. I was convinced that it's a greeeat anime movie. Cheers!
anyways... i am watching with my niece hehehehe.... that's the beginning of our love affairs with Azula (just in my thoughts... lol)
in the back of my mind i keep saying if they carry on it might ruin it by dragging out teh story or tehy might ccome up with a Krappy new plot....so it might be best 4 it not to air a fourth...
BUT then i say to myself "what the hell are u thinking, you so want a fourth season to come out!"

where u do sign the petition? anyway, the show is brill!!!!!!!!!! when he defeats the Phoenix King, i felt a great thrill (even though i foresaw it a long time ago). this said, the show was still gr8, with unexpected twists and turns. Avatar FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm 23, watched it from the beginning, loved it all the way, and especially appreciated how there were so so SO few filler!! (*cough coughnarutocough*) LOL
But I think the handling of Book 3 was not up to par. There were weeks, months in between episodes and I feel that the ending was slightly rushed. But I still found it fantastic. To make a fourth season, for what? The main story-line is complete, so why dedicate a whole season to just tying up loose ends? It really would take away from the quality of the show IMO.
This is one of the best anime I've seen, and I've seen plenty!

i think 1 more season should wrap everything up "Season 4 Air". they could cover up all the mysteries left, even though I LUV AVATAR i don't want it to become a dizaster like pokemon. if they make a big dramatic change people will stop watching it like when misty left pokemon it dropped 10,000,000 viewers they just cagged it up. the characters (actor or vocie) got tired and left. 1 more season should do it even though i luv it and it will foreva go on in my mind i don't want it to be ruined it really is 1 of the best shows ever i will never stop watching it ^_^ obbsesive by the way where do i sign@_@
