Is brainiac gone for good?

so is brainiac gone for good?. he went into the future.. or will he return?

    Brainiac 5 is known to be a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes. They'll take him back where he will be reprogrammed and join the Legion. It's doubtful that he'll be seen in Smallville again. Although, in the future Brainiac 5 does end up having visions of his old self, the self that would have been the one that took control of Chloe, if she existed outside of Smallville.
