Cartoon Network has picked up a second season of animated hit series "Star Wars: The Clone Wars."
Produced by George Lucas and Lucasfilm Animation, the half-hour debuted to the cabler's highest ratings ever and has since been the top-rated show in its Friday-evening time period in all of television for all boys demos.
Cartoon Network plans to bow season two next fall. The CG-animated skein wraps up its first season on Cartoon March 20.
Season one of the show has also been picked up by sibling cabler TNT for an encore run that will start Feb. 14 with back-to-back episodes.

Great news! This show is wildly superior to its movie counterpart and probably the best animation I've seen on television. My roommates and I consider it our Friday night show, and we watch it every week. I hate to say it but Lucas knew what he was doing when he moved to toonage.
They also happen to have great writers, unlike many of it's contemporary shows. Alas.
