And now for our next cast departure: Looks like Nicollette Sheridan is actually leaving Desperate Housewives at the end of this season (unlike last season's tease).

I think Edie is still pretty dis-likable, but I think her character adds extra flavor and conflict to the show that's needed. What are these women going to have as interesting conflicts without the occasional Edie-slept-with-my-ex?
Yea she`s unlikable because of her bitchy,slutty reputation and yes also because it works for the show and for the character as edie. And also i think that i definitely gonna miss her and her frankly way of speaking..
No!! I'll totally miss Edie. She was in it from the beginning!
Personally I don't find her integral to the show at all. I look forward to seeing the housewife who replaces her.
To be honest, I was actually glad at the end of last season when edie was supposedly 'gone' coz i thought her character was really done and she could move on...and i think that the only reason they brought her back this season was to introduce the character 'Dave' and also to give the other housewives the closure after deciding to not talk to her...
She was a great addition to wisteria lane...but im sure someone better will be there to replace her!
