Ah, is there some sort of a Will & Grace curse?


"Will"'s Trust Me is currently suffering over on TNT and even more upsetting, "Grace"'s Starter Wife on USA Network was just canceled.


As a miniseries, the Starer Wife earned 10 Emmy nominations. It then received a first season order of 10 episodes, where it averaged 2.4 million viewers, which is considerably less than some of USA's more successful shows (like Burn Notice and Monk).


USA called the show a "critical and creative success" and believes that the first season's finale in December served as a satisfying conclusion to the series. Do you agree?

    A sad day! I really enjoyed the miniseries, but I think the show was even better as they made it very solid and unique. I would absolutely love to see another season (or 5!) of Starter Wife, but I do agree that the finale was reasonably satisfying without too many loose ends, but still enough open to wish for more!

    I am so shocked to hear this is over!! I loved what they were doing it was interesting, fun, and had a mother who had her morals intact!! Amazing! Messing was perfect for it and I loved watching, couldn't wait for the next episode. A show I could watch and enjoy with out being embarrassed if my kids walked in. Wonderful. Can't believe a great show has to end (again).

    Geez. I didn't realize it was cancelled until today! It's been so long since the last episode, that I almost forgot about the show, and suddenly today, I thought, "I really want to watch Starter Wife". And then I found out it was cancelled! I loved this show. It was one of the better shows that I tried to keep up with every week. Very sad.

    I'm bummed too! I really loved this show! :-< I guess they have to make more room for violence on TV.
