Visually appealing

Writers Stuart Beattie and Baz Luhrmann took a big bite out of the apple to make this sprawling epic. It was a difficult task, given the story and location, but they delivered it.

Luhrmann has an eye for grand composition and effectively tells the story against that backdrop.

Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman work well together and, in the end, we are rooting for them.
