According to The Hollywood Reporter, O'Donnell will play Callen, the lead undercover agent on a team of naval investigators.
O'Donnell joins previously announced cast member LL Cool J in the new show, THR says.
The spin-off will debut later this season as a two-part episode of "NCIS".
