And the Lipstick Jungle cast continues to disperse.


Andrew McCarthy, who played Joe Bennett, has been cast in the upcoming Gossip Girl spinoff as Lily's father Rick Rodes, a music company executive.


McCarthy joins the previously cast Brittany Snow and Krysten Ritter.


I can totally see McCarthy as Lily's father. How about you?

    I guess that's it, then. I hate getting invested in a show and it just ends like that. I don't mind shows having only a couple seasons, but give us a satisfactory conclusion before going off the air.

    man, this sucks. i get all invested in a show and then they snatch the show away without giving it a fair shot. all of the new shows that appeared before, during, or right after the writers' strike should have gotten immediate renewals for this year and next because they had to work ten times harder to gain an audience or in some case get an audience back. i am so sad for television this season with all of the new, amazing, critically acclaimed shows getting canceled for more dribble and reality shows: pushing daisies, october road, eli stone, dirty sexy money, jericho, moonlight, lipstick jungle, etc. the major networks have driven me to watching television from overseas and cable. plus, the fact that they don't count internet views is lousy.
