Cancellation Buzz: How Should Daisies, Stone, and DSM Wrap Up? - Featured
| loadingWhile we're still impatiently awaiting an announcement as to when canceled ABC sophomore shows Pushing Daisies, Eli Stone, and Dirty Sexy Money's final episodes will be aired/available online for the general public, at least some Daisies fans will be seeing those final episodes in the upcoming Paley Festival in April.
So with this upcoming showing of one of these premature endings, how are you hoping to see Daisies, Stone, and DSM wrap up? Are there possible satisfactory endings or are you expecting to be eternally dissatisfied with any or all of these canceled shows?

Eternally dissatisfied as I bet the writers forget to tie up all the loose ends in the time they have to do it for DSM. They dont have enough episodes to finish the story properly. I cant believe Channel 4 in the UK has just started airing the 2nd series??? why bother?
I finished watching the final episodes of Season 2 of DSM. I thought "This isn't as good as the first season" before, but after watching them I want more. It really sucks that we'll never get to see more.
ABC are douchebags.
Oh those "Save Pushing Daisies" campaigns how I wish you worked! From what I heard the last 3 un-aired episodes do not tie up loose ends. There has been talk of comics and movies, but nothing is set in stone. I don't need "closure" I want PD back on air!!!! I think Shaff said it best - "ABC are douchebags."
I hate it when shows try to carry on with comics.
It's not the same at all.
Phooey
i love eli stone. it's ridiculously cute and uplifting, and anytime adults (let alone lawyers) break into a song and dance routine i am ecstatic. eli stone also has the whole prophet thing going for it, another interest of mine. the fact that it is going to have such a premature ending breaks my heart. eli stone deserves more, at least one more season to try and wrap things up in a somewhat orderly matter. It's too bad because his visions went so far into the future, and now ABC has burned that beautiful potential ending right to the ground. eli stone was going to change the world! i mean his world anyways.. but i wanted to watch it dammit.. ... this is why it's better to read books, and watch movies. television series with any sort of serious plot either get so entangled in a desperate effort to keep a story moving and entertaining, or we get a nice simple story structure, but never given a chance to see the ending of it.
sad.
It seems to me that the networks have no concideration for the people who watch their shows. They are only interested in the amount of people watching and ratings. Personaly i;m sick of getting to the end of a season left on a cliff hanger and then the show gets cancelled. Pushing Daisies, Eleventh hour, the unusuals, Flash Gordon, Moonlight and Firefly to name just a few all gone with no satisfactory conclusions. It makes you wonder whether to start watching new show because you may be disapointed by yet another cancelation.
please, i mean, i need something good to watch. my life is pretty boring and i no this probably sounds sad, but shows like Pushing Daises and Eli Stone are what kind of keep me going. i;m from england, and the problem is that stone is set on the scifi channel witch isn't very well advertised and pushing daises is on too late so i can't watch it anyway. the only reason that they are having ratings problems is that each show is pretty unaccesable. and i have this thing where i can't join a series like Eli stone half way through because i'll have no idea what going on. so instead of giving up on these two programs, maybe they should give them a chance and maybe spend the money on advertising properly. that way more people would be given the chance to watch it. and the whole comment about weather to start watching new shows, i totally agree with. because when shows leave unaswered questions, it really pisses me off.
