Battlestar Galactica: I am in love

| loading

I never try to form preconceptions, but it's hard not to with a show like Battlestar Galactica. I have never tried to watch it and whenever it would be on, I would switch on to something cheesy, something shallow and something that looked pretty before even listening to a word of BSG. But I thought I would never like it even if I tried watching it. Space ships and robots, I would laugh to myself. I was so wrong.

Not wrong about the space ships and robots, but about it being bad. BSG is one of the best shows ever. And I'm only one miniseries and a few episodes in.

I have never been a.....Continue Reading!

It only gets better and better. Glad you found Battlestar Galactica and enjoy it. The series finale is next week, however the writers have commissioned a new series called Caprica which takes place 40 years before the Cylon's destroy Earth. I'm very sad to see the series end, but I'm glad they are doing it on their terms and not because the show was canceled.

It really is the best show on TV and you will come to realize that every little detail in the show is important. Ironic statements from crew members early on and moments that you think don't make sense until later on. The show is so well planed, written and just plain thought out. Glad to see other converts!!

Like the man says, it's about the people.

It's sci-fi where the sci-fi is just a back drop to the very human stories of love, hate, war and peace, lust, heroism, selflessness and greed. To say nothing of that old chestnut - POWER.

BSG is one of the very best TV programmes of the decade.

No-one should miss it. I'm glad you've stumbled over it. Enjoy.

YES!!! join our battlestar cult! hahaha i totally understand. this random girl just sent it to me on AIM and said watch it its the best series ever. it was the miniseries and i just got hooked. people make fun of me for watching it and dont expect it from me. its a shame so many people wont give the show a chance because there is a sci-fi stereotype. its so good and it completely re-invented the whole show. i just watched the series finale and came on here to check out the message boards and saw this post. im pretty jealous actually. i wish i could erase all of the show from my memory and watch it all again. theres nothing like watching it for the first time through. get ready for a ride.

I am the same way. I didn't start with the miniseries, though. Will that affect my understanding? Can I watch the miniseries later and enjoy it just as much?

i say definitely watch the miniseries before you go any further. there are some plot deatails that go back to those first miniseries episodes that i think youll want to know. some of the stuff links to things in the final epsodes. so definitely watch the mini.
