Watch out Massive Dynamic, you have some new competition in town. They may not have mechanical arms or be able to bring the dead back to life, but they can weaponize pumpkins and freeze people.
ABC's new comedy contender about corporate scientific America, Better Off Ted, finally premiered last night on ABC. The hilarious cast, including Private Practice's Jay Harrington and Arrested Development's Portia de Rossi proved to be pretty entertaining, don't you think?

would love to watch this new show but when i start the vid either on megavid or even supernova tube it shows the length of the show been just over 20 mins is that right or have i read it wrong
I's a half hour show, so without commercials, about 20 mins should be the whole thing.
i saw the pilot , thought that it was amazing, it looked to be going in "the big bang " direction, quirky but i found it very funny and i would like to see more of it
just watch the pilot good show just needs to be longer
I did like the pilot, though I'm going to have to see a few more episodes to get a better feel for it. I'm crossing my fingers that with Portia de Rossi, it will be hard to go wrong.
Hmmm...I won't nix it just yet, but honestly I was hoping I'd like it a bit more. I felt like it was offbeat just for the sake of being offbeat...but based on the pilot lacked the heart of comedies it was aspiring to mimic...like Scrubs, or dare I say, Arrested Development.
There were moments when I said to myself, "Quirky."...but I never actually laughed.
I think it's hilarious, after watching the first episode I could not wait for the second, and now I can't wait for the third!
I thought it was pretty funny. I can't wait to watch this season.
this show is weak...ill give it a few more episodes but i dont find myself laughing much so far
Am I the only one who thought this show was as boring as it could get?!?!?!? I swear to you I did not get one laugh (or even a chuckle) for the duration of the show..... is it even supposed to be a comedy????? I actually like Portia de Rossi and I think she was great in Arrested Development but I believe the fault does not necessarily lie with the cast but with the writing...weak, weak, weak...I actually removed the season pass from my TIVO after the first 20 minutes.... very disappointing.
Seems to me like it's trying to be the smart funny show and comes off as being pretentious. Don't get me wrong I do enjoy it, it's just not as good as it's trying to be in my opinion.
@nmrcdl....i was the post before you saying the show was weak...how could you go and say you are the only one who thinks its not funny....we both agree that its not very good but read the other posts before writing something like that...
save it, its really good and its a good cast so its worth a season or 2 for sure
I love it, but I think I love it because of Portia!! She is so captivating at any part she plays. I think she should have her own show. Such a sweetheart! makes you want to watch anything she is in. MIGHT I add she is BEAUTIFUL!!!!

This show is amazing. I never planned on watching it, but after hearing Portia de Rossi was in it, i decided to check it out. I'm glad to have found another good comedy to watch. and it's on wednesday too. south park, reno 911, and now better off ted. sounds like a damned fine wednesday to me.
I like it. I'd save it.
i like it. i'll agree, its annoyingly simple at times, but it also has a certain cleverness to it.
I absolutely love this show!! It's hilarious!
