Discuss: If Lily van der Woodsen Met Kirsten Nichol... - Featured

| loading

I just read something very very interesting.

Josh Schwartz is reportedly toying with the idea of having characters in the Gossip Girl spinoff interact with the 80s incarnations of characters from his previous program, The O.C..

Who might Lily van der Woodsen befriend in 80s LA? Kirsten Nichol (this is pre-Sandy Cohen days) and Jimmy Cooper! It's like 2 spinoff/prequels in 1!

The concept of fictional characters from completely different programs colliding is tre intriguing...don't you think? Do you hope Josh Schwartz pursues this idea?

I love this idea! I think that's a perfect fit and I was always curious during The O.C. to see Jimmy and Kristen together in their younger days. Now I'd just be curious to see location and history-wise how that could all work out.

btw, who have they got playing lily in the spinoff show? i'm still clueless

i was looking at pictures of whitney port from "the city" though, and was thinking if only she could actually act then she would be a great choice. i could really see her as a young lily.

wow?! brittany snow? i see that, but am surprised she's taking a tv role since she's been doing ok in the movie career route. but i guess you sign up for a pilot without really knowing how long of a commitment it will be. i hope it turns out as another great show :)
