Review
I wear glasses but I have a great freakin' memory as well and as I recall from previous episodes of Smallville, Clark has flown but as Kal-el. When I saw the previews for 'Turbulence' I was excited as could be because I thought he was going to fly, but he didn't. He just dropped like a b**ch. I ended up taking off my superman shirt in disappointment. But something took me by surprise in Hex. Clark flies. If you don't believe me, see for yourself. I will give all the evidence and then you can be the judge.
First of all, there was a joke in the episode where he says "I have a deadline lois. Now, if you would please excuse me, I need to find a way to get off of this roof. Unless my superpowers include an ability... to fly." This made me laugh a little but it also caught my interest.
The part that made me jump out of my seat is when (as everyone else stated it) is when Clark 'jumped' onto the roof to stop zatanna from bringing back her father. I would like to mention that HE DID NOT JUMP on the roof, HE FLEW. The reason for this is because whenever Clark jumps there is the casual red and blue blur. But this 'jump' contained an aura around Clark. Now if I can remember correctly, in the episode where clark is actually Kal-el, he has the ability to fly. He does fly when he is with his mom at the farm, because he is not Clark Kent. Here is the clip to prove it.

This is what it looks like when he jumps... go to the link below and go to 1:55.

see the red and blue blur.
When he flies, there is ripples that form around his body (almost like an aura) and they directors also make the camera zoom in on his feet just before he takes off. Right after that, he takes off to the sky.
The same thing was done in Hex. If you pay attention to how he jumps onto the roof you will see the ripples/aura form around him. Then they zoom in on his feet and show the ground cracking beneath him. Then he goes 'up, up and away.' If you don't believe me go watch 'Hex' for yourself and you will see that I am right. You can find the episode links here on Sidereel.
The question is though, was Clark still under the spell? If he was, what a bummer. But if he was not under the spell, CLARK FREAKIN' FLEW.

I think he was under the spell and since he didn't know what he could do it let him fly.
but if that was the case and he was under the spell since he remembers everything from the whole adventure shouldn't he be able to fly now because when he flew as Kal-el he didn't really remember everything if my memory serves me, he forgot what he had done.
I dont think he flew...I think it is a montage to the old Adventures of Superman, "Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, AND he can leap tall buildings in a single bound" showing that he is coming of age into the Superman that he will be.
i don't think the director pays the same attention to those details as you.. also Tom welling said he wouldn't fly in the show ..
That's not flying, that falling with style </toy story>
I think he jumped. Clark flying for the first time is a HUGE thing. The writers know this. They would of made a much bigger deal out of it than that, and they would of done it so that we all KNEW for a fact that he flew. He jumped.
he flew hell maybe they should bring supergirl back so they can go flying together
It was a jump Cloe told him to jump and he did. Maybe he'll fly in another episode.
Actually he has flown before, in episode 2 or 3 he wakes up hovering in the air after dreaming about Lana. So he can fly but doesn't know it yet.
