Is Sam evil?

In season 2 episode 6 Andy breaks up with Sam because she thinks he's beginning to like his devil job. Later Nina gets the impression that Sam did something evil and then kisses him.

I can't help but feeling sorry for Sam because I don't think he's evil. Well he doesn't want to be. Also the power you saw in the pilot episode has returned to Sam (or he has always had it) and it's a devil power.
