As usual, we got a batch of new shows from the major networks this fall. Some have already bitten the dust, some have become huge successes, and some have their fates hanging in the balance!
Excluding midseason newbies since we'll have to wait longer for their fates, here's the current rundown on this season's fall freshman shows.
Do you think the renewals and cancellations so far have been good choices? Of the shows left to be determined, what are you hoping will get a season 2 pick-up?

I didn't realise Fringe was still undecided yet. Save Dollhouse and Fringe and must admit I'm so excited about the second season of True Blood this June 14th. I think it will come along in leaps and bounds for a very strong season.
Fringe actually was renewed, sorry about that! Dollhouse definitely deserves a 2nd season, so hopefully that'll be joining Fringe and the other renewed shows soon!
Eleventh hour and Mentalist not officially renewed ... what kind of BS is that those are by far the 2 best crime shows on TV!!
Dollhouse deserves another season but numbers are not good like those of eleventh hour or the mentalist
Cruseo is one of my guilty pleasure ... IF only they would of approached the series on another angle ... I would of liked to see Crusoe build his three house and all other systems... Anyway i never really had much hope for Crusoe!!
Come on Dollhouse and the Mentalist! I hate having to put my trust in networks to renew quality shows... especially when it shouldn't even be an issue!
How is it that CBS always is advertising the Mentalist as the number one new show and it isn't renewed yet...?
Please save privilege, the mentalist, the dollhouse .. And plus reaper and Samantha who is also on the bubble which i wish stayed on the air.
There's no chance of the Mentalist not being renewed. It's just a technical matter of it not being finalized.
I'd like to see more Dollhouse. Indifferent to the rest of the endangered list.
Only cancellation I would protest was Easy Money, but it got killed long enough ago, I've made my peace with it.
Of course mentalist has to continue. The plots can only thicken. If Dollhouse was put at another date and time, there would be no doubt it would be renewed. I pray both these shows make the cut. They are awesome. I love True Blood, it's my #1 fave show so I knew it was continuing. Can't wait for season 2, even though it'll be completely different from the book, supposedly.
Mentalist will be renewed for sure, look at the ratings, as far as I remember it scored 10 mil or more each weak. People just love crime/cop shows no matter how much of them there is.
I really hope Dollhouse will get a second season it's a good show.

I also hope Gary Unmarried will be renewed, I won't cry for it but it's pleasant to watch :)
SAVE DOLLHOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's one of the best new shows on TV (and original, for once!)

They definetly have to renew dollhouse, the plot has huge potential and i adore eliza dushku she is just amazing haha plus i loved angel and buffy the vampire slayer, i dig joss whedon creations. I do think that friday night is a bad time for dollhouse maybe thats why the raitings are not that high.
the cancelled show i like was the ex list but i think i can get over it.
its great that fringe is already confirmed, i love it.
Of course True Blood got renewed :) It's the best new show of 2008/09 in my opinion! Alan Ball = genius !
Really hoping to see Dollhouse again. Watched the first little bit of True Blood and decided it wasn't my thing (call me old fashioned, but I really don't think Vampires should be sparkly) and I'm really glad Life on Mars was a one season show. I really liked Life on Mars and it seems fitting for it to be a one-shot-season sort of show.
I think that they need to save Dollhouse and The Mentalist. Both are great shows!!
Farghes - I think you're getting Twilight mixed up with True Blood. True Blood vampires don't sparkle, they burn up. Check out Vampire Bill (or grilled Bill) as Stephen Moyer refers to him. He definitely doesn't sparkle in that scene.

I am chuffed that fringe is back, the mentalist is a definite must, followed by monk, and leverage definitely left me wanting more.

Gary unmarried is a good show, I would really like to see it renew. I got into the whole My Own Worst Enemy, though, there were obvious problems with the series. For instance, aluminum and drain cleaner making a gigantic explosion, I've done it before and all that really happens is a loud bang. I think I can live without it, but it would have been nice to give an ending to it.
The Mentalist & Eleventh hour must be renewed! It would be so unfair if it doesn't happen :O
Gary Unmarried & Worst Week both need to be saved. There are not a lot of good comedies out there about good guys, and now they want to cancel the only ones left. I enjoy the crime dramas as much as the next person, but we cant do away with all of our sitcoms. In times like these, we need the laughs the most.
I know a lot of people decided kath and kim was stupid before they even saw it, and i think it was actually a hilarious show the should get a second season. i'm disappointed. privileged is a good show and more people should watch it. Doll house will hopefully get a second season. gary unmarried sucks, not funny. Leverage was really good and burn notice is one of my favorites. whats up with those. Crusoe was a little boring at first but i tuned back in later and it was actually getting pretty interesting so i'm sad to see it go.
90210, Fringe, and True Blood are all some of my new favorites - so definitely good decisions. MUST SAVE DOLLHOUSE. Joss is always great - and each week the show seems to get better and better. Tonight's episode was amazing. I can't wait for the season finale, and I can't wait to see what they'll do to keep the plot running in season 2. It always seems full of surprises, and the writing is excellent. I just hope Fox isn't screwing the show to its death with the crappy Friday night timeslot.
Save Dollhouse! It is an amazing show that's been doomed because of it's time slot! Joss has amazing creations, and Angel, Buffy, and Firefly have all been great, but a late night Friday slot? Most people are out with friends! I have to record it to watch it!
Amazing concept, great cast, great actors, great plots exanding every week! Don't cancel it---PLEASE!!
The Mentalist is superb; I can't see how they couldn't renew it. Eleventh hour is one I like very much too (never a good sign) but I'm missing Life and Lie to Me from that list....
The Mentalist has to be renewed. Sad Life on Mars is now cancelled. I really enjoyed that show. But I can see why they did.
Love The Mentalist, but it could be improved by replacing Robin Tunney (sorry Robin). Seems that Eliza just can't carry a series by herself so goodbye Dollhouse. (You were a great slayer but you're no Jessica Biel) In the battle of the Annas, Pacquin looses to Friel so hooray Fringe, goodbye Trueblood.
OMG mentalist cannot go i love it to death and i'm watching from australia but i just recently found out the main character is australian wow he doesn't sound it at all anyways 90210 has been O.K its a realll slow pace tv show it is stuck between reality and fantasy. they really need to make it more intense SERIOUSLY i'm falling asleep here!!! Anyone else agree with me about 90210 ???
