Heroes - Claire Bennet

Heroes, as one could imagine from the show title, is packed with superpowered butt-kicking babes! My favorite is the late Elle, but I'd say Claire wins as the top butt-kicker of these hero babes due to the fact that she's really stepped it up from her early clueless cheerleading days to truly becoming one of the front-runners fighting back against the new company. Plus, she has not only given us the ultimate girl fight with Elle, but she's also taken on Sylar and other bad guys (and gals) with barely a flinch.

Chuck - Sarah Walker

One of the greatest part of our favorite TV butt-kicking babes is that the table is turned on the usual damsel in distress situation and allows women to be the ones defending themselves, and in Sarah's case as well as some other BKB cases, saving those humbled men! Of course, the adorable Chuck Bartowski doesn't need any humbling, but seeing him in awe of Sarah's super rad (CIA) fighting skills makes this powerhouse-almost-scared-of-nothing woman all the better. Sarah can take on a gaggle of goons, bring on the kung fu in her sexy little black dress, or pull out the big guns to shoot an enemy in cold blood any old time... Sarah, you're my hero! (And Chuck's too!)

Dollhouse - Echo

Dollhouse has brought us an entirely new breed of butt-kicking babe as we've seen the total madness of what the dollhouse training can bring on when needed. In most of Echo's jobs, she doesn't need to bring on the fight, but it's pretty darn awesome when something goes wrong (which it often does) so that she can bring out those serious kicks, punches, and general no-fear fighting skills to not only defend herself, but defend the dollhouse, her handler, or whoever else may be in danger. But the most fascinating feature of this butt-kicking babe's ways? Oh, yes, she's no ordinary controlled badass like most of the dolls. We've seen this pop out now and then already, and I know I certainly can't wait for more full-force Echo awesomeness!

Lost - Kate Austen

Kate may have come across at first as a sweet curly haired girl ready to be the mysterious love triangle interest, and okay, that's exactly what she became, but we also discovered very quickly that she was not just a point of interest for love but for the law as well! Yes, those handcuffs were hers from the plane crash as she was a hunted international criminal after making numerous mistakes post-blowing up a house to kill her mom's nasty abusive boyfriend. On the island, we saw Kate quickly show she wasn't going to hide her badass ways as she insisted many a time on joining the boys or even starting up her own band of gun-carrying survivor defenders.

Veronica Mars - Veronica Mars

Veronica didn't do as much physical butt-kicking as some of these ladies, but she had her fair share, and kicks so much butt with her brain power combined with her surprising braun that she is definitely in our top favs! In a typical Veronica day, she's tracked down a cheating husband, gotten in a fist fight with her ex-boyfriend's dad, taken a math test, and tracked down another rapist, only to find herself in another pretty serious tussle... go VMars, go! This little lady is such a snarky source of girl power that she's made it onto this list twice with her Heroes Elle mention as well, so our hats off to Kristen Bell in her many rockin' sock'em girlpower forms!
