Peter's new powers

What I don't get is if Peter got Sylar's powers, can't he tell when people are lying. Then can't he tell that Nathan is not actually Nathan but Sylar?

    I think he only replicated Sylar's Shapeshifting ability. He doesn't have his entire collection. And even if he did, I don't think the lie detection ability would actually function, since Sylar isn't secrelty lying about being Nathan. He's convinced he is. That's the whole point.

    what I don't get is. Why wouldn't they make Peter change into Nathan say what he did was wrong and like flee or something. Then tell everyone Sylar killed Nathan


    It's stupid to leave Sylar alive.

    thats the whole point in keeping sylar, at one point he will break out, n it'll be fun fun fun

    because if they kill Sylar and don't keep him , the writters know that they will loose their audience since I think Sylar is the the caracter that everybody loves...

    The thing with lying is you aren't lying unless you consciously know you are lying, there is a difference between lying and being wrong, he may be wrong but he doesn't know any different. And yea too bad Peter will be useless for a minute since all he can do for now is shapeshift unless maybe he tries to take flight from Nathan again and realizes that he has about a million other abilities to him.
