lallycollie Send a Compliment at 15:43 PDT, 28 April, 2009What I don't get is if Peter got Sylar's powers, can't he tell when people are lying. Then can't he tell that Nathan is not actually Nathan but Sylar? Also, when Sylar got his new powers he was overwhelmed by the intense hearing, the lying tingle, etc. How come we didn't see Peter become overwhelmed.

I thought Peter could now only take one power at a time, so he took Sylar's shapeshifting power and that was it, I thought he said something along the lines of "betcha' didn't think I took that one from you" I mean in the process after he might have switched it for another, but I think he can't still have more than one at a time
Sylar isnt lying to be nathan. He now thinks he really is Nathan.
ulalume is right he did say 'bet you didnt think i took that one' So he can choose which power to take, i just dont understand how sylar got flying :S
stof he either wasnt actualy flying or hes had flying since the beginning. If you watched back in season 1 when sylar is about to kill the woman who can hear really well he says that he didnt use footsteps (as in he flew). OR he was using telekenisis to levitate and wasnt flying.
yep i agree with dunken2323, i think Sylar was using his telekinesis for sure...
but on that lil note, i'm reallly not sure who has what power nowadays! there's way too many!
maybe the writers need to start killing some people off....(if it's possible lol)
They need to change peters powers so that he can absorb several powers. Sylar is too powerful and they need someone to match him. Maybe a super charge from ando could bring back peters orginal powers.
is peter took sylar's shapeshifting does'nt that mean he'll start a acting wield like when sylar started pretending to be his own mother that he killed.....and if he took all of sylars powers wont that mean he has the HUNGER!!!
p.s i think nathan and sylar will become split personalities,like if nathans in control and he gets knocked out sylar takes control,kinda like micah's mum(cant remember her name)
He didn't take all of Sylar's powers. He can only absorb one power at a time, remember?
And the only reason why Sylar went through the whole identity crisis was because he didn't know who he was, or what destiny he was supposed to follow. Once he finally figured out what path to take, his crisis went away.

peter took all of sylars abilities. cant u remember when he was talking with nathan b4 the fight they were saying that they just need to get peter close enough to touch sylar because he could then do everything sylar does.
why would he take shapeshifting if he can get the abiltiy to retain multiple powers from sylar?
Sylar doesn't fly I think he uses his mind control skills to kinda like raise and lower himself from the ground. I think that peter took only the shape shifting because wasn't able to heal himself after his tussle with Sylar.
sylar can take people powers by touch but he prefers to kill, just like how he got ells powers; besides if they made sylar believe he is nathan if he can't fly he'll know something is up, i dont think the writters would do that, and peter only has one power because claire asked peter to go after them when they flew through the window and he said "i can't", however maybe he wasn't able to take all of his powers that quickly
he said he couldnt because sylar couldnt fly when peter took his powers then. bt definitely he gained the ability to fly during the fight or something.
also peters injuries were healed. its just that a person wud still hav blood on them unless the clean it.
