From Friday to Tuesday, participate in SideReel's Battle of the Butt Kicking Babes!
We've seeded the 2 sides as super-human (as in the babe contains some sort of enhanced powers, from Buffy's Slayer Strength to Cameron being, well, a killing machine) vs. human (no extra powers beyond their god-given strength...at least to our knowledge).
Here's how it works:
Beginning now, please choose the winners of the first 8 match ups. As a comment, please write 8 names, which represent the winners of Buffy vs. Jessi, Echo vs. Elle, Cameron vs. Claire, Max vs. Chloe, Sydney vs. Kate, Sarah vs. Fiona, Sarah Connor vs. Lois Lane and Veronica Mars vs. Mary Shannon.
Based on comments, we will tabulate the winners of Round 1.
Then come back beginning Saturday to vote in Round 2!
UPDATE: Round 1 Voting is Closed! You may now vote in Round 2. Please choose winners between Buffy vs. Echo, Cameron vs. Max, Sydney vs. Sarah W. and Sarah C. vs. Veronica Mars!
Note: In round 1, all of the top seeds won. The closest battle was Cameron vs. Claire. Cameron won by only a small margin of about 25 votes
UPDATE 2: Round 2 Voting is Closed! You may now vote in Round 3. Please choose winners between Buffy vs. Max and Sydney vs. Sarah Connor!
Note: Buffy and Sydney won their heats with relative ease, but the other 2 match-ups were nailbiters. Max beat Cameron by a single vote! (And boy did I misjudge people's allegiance to Dark Angel; I thought Cameron would easily win). Sarah Connor defeated Veronica by 10 votes.
UPDATE 3: Round 3 Voting is Closed! You may now vote in the final round! Please choose your ultimate butt kicking babe! We're down to Buffy Summers vs. Sydney Bristow!
Note: As somewhat expected, Buffy annihilated Max. Sydney and Sarah Connor were quite close, though Sydney edged her out by 7 votes.
UPDATE 4: The Battle Has Ended and as many of you predicted, Buffy Summers took home the crown!
Note: Though Buffy did win substantially (119-58), you can see that Sydney was not without her supporters. Thank you everyone for voting and participating...and suggesting alternate babes. Never again will I forget the likes of Xena and River Tam when discussing butt-kicking babes.

Why does Kristin Bell get two characters? Instead of Elle from Heroes, Nikki/Trish should be in there. Ali Larter is definitely a butt-kicking babe. If there are two characters though, I have to second the River nomination. Summer Glau is just that bad-ass. Also, if all of the shows aren't currently on air, shouldn't at least one of the Charmed sisters be there? They practically invented kicking butt! Anyway...

5 Max gets the vote here, though it is a tough choice as I adore (and prefer) Chloe for far more than her chopping down baddies skills (what can I say, Lana T was really the hot option from Smallville, and Chloe is a sidekick more often in need of protection. In other words, Chloe is more dynamic than Max but she lacks that full-on toughgirl, as her character is supposed to, whereas Max is all superhero-y.)

2 Sydney!!! Another show that is missed… or at least its quality.
7 Sarah Walker: has that blonde Buffy superchick quality with occasional totally comic flair, but with an I’m-all-business CIA-spygirl alterego. I like. Perhaps it is that psedo-pout she often sports? Looks good with a gun.
3 Sarah Conner. Come on, though we love Lois, and she made an amusing faux supergirl ‘Stiletto’, Sarah is just TOUGH, and would have Lois on the matt in 2 seconds then be out the door with her son and posse in tow.
11 Mary gets it, as Veronica was still learning to act. This show, ‘In Plain Sight’ which I felt had a slow first half of season one then an excellent end, has promise, and I think toughgirl with total attitude, ‘Mary’, is why. Come on, she gets away with everything, and don’t we all wish we could throw a computer off our desk and not get fired some days? She also has a nice ‘psychological’ edge to her baddy-ness, so gets my vote for that kick-butt physical + psych side.
OK great Idea love it. But cant understand why you ve not put in certain babes? I think you should widen the draft or next time make it open and include wildcards lol. Greqat idea again ha.

Sydney -- Tough call, I really really disliked both of them
Sarah -- No question. Both actresses are cute, but Lois Lane never figured in as a fighter in anything canon related, and that last episode...about stiletto.... what garbage.
Sarah Connor -- Extremely underrated show, excellent actors/actresses. Sarah Connor is one bad mother (SHUT YO MOUTH!), hey, I'm talking about Sarah Connor!
Veronica Mars -- Not really a big fan of either show, so little is riding on this one for me as either of them will, without question, be killed off in the next round. I'm only going to say this once.. this is to all those of you out there who are getting angry because the girl from the "super" category won out over the girl from the "not super" category. If you're complaining about a one-sided question Ie. saying the "super" category always wins.. I'm just going to have to draw your attention to one particular match-up which crushes your theory.
Superman has this tendency to go evil from time to time (mind-control, evil clone, etc.) and from time to time, Batman is there to stop him. And who always wins in the fight between Superman and Batman? You're very naive if you're thinking Superman. The correct answer is Batman. He outsmarts Superman every time.
So the real question we were forced to ask ourselves in this final match-up was this. Could Buffy beat Sydney to a pulp? Yes.. yes she could. Could Sydney out-think Buffy? No.. no, we don't think so. Result: Buffy wins this fight.
Buffy rules all and this shows it! She would beat the ugly wigs, that Sydney Bristow always seemed to wear, right off her head. If you're like me and like o analyze, you'll see that Buffy wins no because she has super powers, but because she is the most realistic, most normal, most human of all the characters presented.
She doesn't simply live a super hero fantasy life where problems solve themselves. Behind the metaphoric background, Buffy experiences real life, and she best relates to us all.
Come on, if that girl can survive the episode "the Corpse (not just the death but all the situation surrounding it)" she can win any competition.

Buffy was never defeated by Glory. Buffy died when she swan dived off the platform. Just to make that clear from a previous comment. Glory did not kill Buffy. And wasn't it Willow (who I might add, kicks azz very well also) and Tara that weakened Glory so Guiles could finish her off. But either way, still stands, Glory did not kill Buffy!
