mess up?

ok i liked this weeks episode (as fast as she can) but there was one thing that kept bugging me, cause i though that Barney couldn't drive. There is an episode where he confesses that he doesn't know how to drive. So ted tries to teach him how to but he panics, so he never really learned how to drive. and now he's driving and getting speeding tickets when he was afraid to even go 5 mph. I still love the episode just had to point that out.

Yeah, I made that comment, too, when watching it. But then again, when I learned to drive, it was pretty damn scary, and then once you get used to it, you get all speedy, and it's been some time, so why not?

I think Barney learned to drive while doing Dr Horrible. Maybe? just let it be.

Yeah. It's the episode in the second season. 17 or sth. It's called arivederci fiero. I also was thinking what the hell, but let's just agree that barney did the driving licence.

Yeah I was wondering about that. I just chalked it up to being not noteworthy getting your driver's license, but I'm glad someone else noticed. I always catch stuff like that on TV shows and my girlfriend always makes fun of me for it.

Yea I agree, and also In the first season when the Marshall thinks that the gay dude in the bar is hitting on Lilly when she takes off her wedding ring and he says he has never been in a fight but in season 4 he kicks the big bartenders ass, waz up wif that?

Ah well think we can forgive the writers the odd continuity error cause this is the friends of this era,

    it goes

Seinfield, Frasier, Friends, How i met your mother,

He's never been in a fight, in S4 it's his brothers "playing" that toughened him up for fighting.

Still, this is the best sitcom there has been since Friends got all stale after about S7-8!

HIMYM is the one of the most consistent shows ever... I think we can forgive the odd little slip.

Also, the driving thing has been brought up before. He drove a truck in season 2, or at least it was assumed that he did.

Glad to see they didn't end the story though. One more season! I don't want it to end but I'd like to see it end the way it was intended and not let it be dragged out like Scrubs or Friends.

Yeah, I picked up on this too. But that is a good point about the truck, it was implied that he drove that.

actually guys, the episode that shows him learning how to drive, that clip was flashing back a couple of years. its been about 5 years now since the "incident" and if ted kept teaching him he would have learnt how to drive in 5 years!!!!

so not really a mess up, i mean, who wants to see barney learnin to drive if it isnt that funny everytime?
