Fringe's Kirk Acevedo Fired

| loading

Sorry, Charlie.

Looks like due to budget cuts, the character of Charlie Francis will be disappearing from Fringe come Season 2.

Actor Kirk Acevedo updated his Facebook Status today saying the following:

"WELL BOYS AND GIRLS THEY DONE DID YER BOY WRONG! THEY FIRED ME OFF OF FRINGE, AND I'VE NEVER BEEN FIRED IN MY LIFE!!!!"

Stinks for the actor, but I could see how the show would be just fine without him. Agreed?

I'm assuming he was fired by the grammar police ("Done did")?

I liked Charlie's character. I thought he bought something to the show even it was just a small part. Seems like he is a bit pissed off though, but Fringe will definately survive without him.

I agree with Shutter. I think the direction the show is taking with more developments with Olivia in the alternate universe and the battle with ZFT, if Charlie just stays in his office drinking coffee and not be in the show I'm sure it'll survive without him. Will they even grant him an on-screen death? I think in Family Guy they once mentioned Richie Cunningham (Happy Days) had a brother but one day went upstairs holding a basketball and was never seen or mentioned again. lol, will this be Charlie's fate? He'll go to the photocopier room in the FBI and just vanish?!?
