Syndication Plans Fall Through, Show Stays Cancelled

Many of the CW affiliates expressed interest in purchasing Reaper but then ABC Studios didn't present them with contracts. The affiliates were reportedly told that the show was being sold to a cable outlet.

The deal fell apart. It's unclear as to the reasons why but it may have to do with the contracts of the actors and/or overall production costs.

ABC Studios considered keeping the show going without Bret Harrison (Sam) and Tyler Labine (Sock). Ultimately the studio decided against it.

Sad that the show seems to be cancelled for good. I really would've liked to see Sam get out of his contract with the devil for real.

But going on without the original cast would'nt be the same.
