Since when does the Moon have an electromagnetic field?

Come on, did they even talk to a geologist or do any research before making this show. The acting isn't all that bad, but wow, this show was kind of ridiculous on the amount of goof ups

I believe that when a brown dwarf hit it pieces of it remained on the moon causing the increase in mass. I believe brown dwarf was the one with the electromagnetic field and unless your a geologist you shouldn't be ripping on a show.

i think what eswan was saying is that before the collision with the brown dwarf the moon already had a magnetic field (which is not true or was never recorded) and after the collision the magnetic field intensify and is now messing with the appliances on earth.

the show does have some scientific merits but i'm curious to see if two body of electromagnetic field can disrupt the field of gravity on earth as shown in the show. wonder if its hollywood fantasy or if it could happen given the right circumstances.
