MaryAnne, what exactly is she

I still don't have her figured out yet. I know she attacked Suki, cause she wants Tara to keep staying with her. I've never read the books.

    She is a maenad in the books, but there's no gurantee that's what she is in the show.

    a maenad is a Greek creature of some kind that well likes for people to pay tribute to them by drinking and partying and have sexual activities, that's why when Maryanne is first at Merlotte's everyone starts dancing and drinking and feeling very sexual. And that's why she has a pig, teheheehee. In the book she attacked Sookie in order to get a message to Eric, so that he would pay tribute to her, if not she threatened to cause destruction and madness.


    in the show though, she doesn't seem to want anything from Eric and something from Sam??? And she does not attack Sookie, but another creature does, maybe Daphne???


    The first Season of True Blood is very much like the First Book accept for the Bill killing Longshadow and having to change over Jessica as punishment - it's actually Eric that kills Longshadow and he gets fined for doing so.


    But so far what I can see from the Second Season it seems to be taking a rather different approach from the Second Book. The differences are much more different this time around (in my opinion).


    It's sorta disappointing, because some key events between Sookie and Eric have been changed and it's important so we can at least see Eric and Sookie some mutual interest in each other so when they fall in love with each other it doesn't seem so sudden.


    In the book Bill is, well, rather "ugh". Eric shows more interest and a lot more human characteristics towards Sookie, while Bill is the one that tends to be more Broody and Silent.


    Whoop Team Eric all the way . . . . . . . .
