Casting Call for 'The Next Food Network Star' Season 6

Halfway through The Next Food Network Star's fifth season, the high-rating Food Network reality cooking show is already on a lookout for the next batch of contestants, chefs or not, to compete on the show for his or her own Food Network program.

Casting call auditions for The Next Food Network Star season 6 have been announced in Phoenix, Arizona, Chicago, Ilinois; Austin, Texas; San Francisco, California; West Hollywood, California; San Diego, California; and Atlanta, Georgia. The nationwide auditions will be held throughout July and August.

The cabler is encouraging both professional chefs and amateur foodies to try their luck on the show. In addition, contestants are encouraged to bring an application, a photo, and a resume and/or bio to the site to submit to network casting directors. They also have an option to just send a three-minute audition video explaining why he or she should be The Next Food Network Star. On the last episode of the Food Network reality show, personal chef and nutrition company owner and Philadelphia native Katie Cavuto was eliminated. The Next Food Network Star airs Sundays at 10pm.
