Trouble-in-paradise thriller "A Perfect Getaway" premiered at the Cinerama Dome Aug. 5, where cast and filmmakers described their own not-so-perfect getaways.
Steve Zahn said the film reminded him a little bit of his honeymoon. With limited time between projects, Zahn and his wife went to a Civil War battlefield and the Shaker village for their post-nup.
"What an awesome honeymoon. Really romantic. Death and people who don't fuck," Zahn said.
Producer Ryan Kavanaugh said after making the film thathe now thinks differently about vacationing.
"Anytime I am on a remote island, I remember the movie (about serial killers who prey on tourists). "My honeymoon won't be in Hawaii," he said. Director David Twohy said he got inspired to write the // film while vacationing with his family along Kauai's Kalalau trail.
