Patton Oswalt Joins Caprica

If you're familiar with the taste of comedian Patton Oswalt, you know he's one of us - which is to say, he's a big geek, who loves comic books and science fiction. That being the case, I'm guessing Oswalt is pretty excited to be joining the cast of Caprica in a recurring role.

The Hollywood Reporter says Oswalt will play a role he should be comfortable with a Caprican comedian named Baxter Sarno. Cylon creator Daniel Graystone (Eric Stoltz) and his wife Amanda (Paula Malcomson) appear on Sarno's talk show in Season 1 of the Battlestar Galactica spinoff/prequel series.

Oswalt, whose biggest mainstream role was as the voice of the main character in Ratatouille , guest starred on Dollhouse this past season and has a recurring role on The United States of Tara.
