Bad news, 90210/Brenda fans.
The best part of any rendition of 90210, whether the new or the old, Shannen Doherty, will only be sticking around for these first 4 episodes, EW is reporting.
However, the second best part, Jennie Garth (Kelly Taylor), has signed on for 5 additional episodes (plus she had already been committed to 6).
Says Doherty:
"They asked me to do a lot more, but I'm in the middle of pitching a show, [so] I couldn't commit to more than [I did]."
Sad sad news. The new 90210 could use some real acting talent.

I'm sorry, but I completely disagree. I watched the season premiere of the original 90210 and I was addicted. I have been interested in the new 90210 since the first episode. I'm hoping that I'm not taking your last comment out of context, but to me, you are implying that there is no talent in the new 90210. (Because to say Shannen is talented...well...what am I supposed to think?) Really? AnnaLynne McCord. I hated, and I mean HATED, her character in nip/tuck. I really thought she was a terrible actress. But Naomi fits her, she's brilliant. You can feel the emotion just by the look on her face when she realizes that her mother is aware, and okay with, the affair between her father and Gail. I realized that she got stuck with a terrible character in nip/tuck. It didn't fit her. Other talent...Michael Steger, lovin' Navid...Jessica Stroup, Jennie Garth, and Lori Laughlin. Tell me seriously that you didn't believe their characters. I was convinced. There's plenty of talent on the new 90210...much more talent than Shannon could EVER bring.
And if I am wrong in my analysis of your comment...sorry...clarify next time.
I forgot to specify that I watched the premiere of the original 90210on the day it first aired. I was in Jr. High. I was sooooo addicted...
