Premiere & 'Hotch + Emily'?

| loading

The premiere was okay, i mean it wasn't the traditional suspense filled episode but it wasn't bad.

Anyway what I kept thinking, throughout the instances of dire concern for Hotch, was that Emily always seemed somewhat more concerned for Hotch's well being than the other team mates.

Am i completely alone in thinking that there might be a future between those two?

The premiere definitely sets up forthcoming episodes nicely and therefore in that sense, it did its part in hooking us fans in even further and the fence sitters a little bit closer to the side of criminal minds obsessorees.

So Hotch and Emily:

-yes?

-maybe?

-no?

Absolutely NOT! I think that would be a bad moveon the part of the show. The show has thus far done a really good job creating a very limited balance with respect to the personal lives of the characters. Having any of the team memebrs romantically involved with the other would definitely be more of a distraction from the premise of the show. I seriously doubt the majority of the show's viewers are hopeless romantics, meaning they'd be the only ones interested in a BAU hook-up! :) I'm keeping my fingers crossed that if Prentiss expressed her undying love and affection for Hotchner, he gives her the shaft and move us on to Elle replacement #3!!!!

I have to agree with knicolemac, it would definately be a bad move. The little we know about the main characters' backgrounds and personal lives is enough to keep the audience curious. A love story thrown in your face every week between them 2 would just seem ill-fitting and go against the grittyness of the show

I saw an interview where the lady who portrays Prentiss said that after an episode in season three or four many viewers and production crew picked up a vibe between Hotch and Prentiss. From that point on the two actors have been doing slight flirting and looks but it will not amount to anything as far as they know.

JJ only got a man on the show because her portrayer AJ Cook was pregnant in real life. Thanks to the writers strike they were able to announce it on the show in three episodes. We remet Will in Miami heat, JJ called him and told him she was pregnant at the end of the next episode, and the finale for that season (lo-fi) Will blurts it out to the team in fear of JJ's safety.

I think Hotch has enough personal stuff going on with his ex and son - definately no girlfriend till they're safe

it's supposed to be about series about crime not a soap opera - seen too meany shows go down cos of leaving their main message behind

CRIMINAL minds - not FBI romance!!!!!

i agree that emily should have a love interest but definitely not on hotch, because hotch is a family man and it should remain that way.

but i will be so excited if emily will find a weird boyfriend because we all know emily attracts weird guys...
