Not too sure which book they were reading...

In my opinion this movie is nothing like the book and that isn't a good thing and it normally never is. This looks like its going be a fun and funny movie but what happened to this story being creepy and scary?? I remember the book having a very eerie feeling that left chills all over my body i don't see that happening from the preview of this movie. I really want to know why cant they ever stick to the story especially when its really good? I'm still going to watch it because it looks like a great laugh i don't expect to feel how i felt after reading the book this is like a spin-off of the original story.
