NBC's Day One Reduced to Miniseries

NBC has scaled back midseason series Day One to a miniseries.

The show - about a band of survivors from a global catastrophe - had initially been envisioned (and advertised) as a 13-episode midseason series.

Instead, NBC will now air it as an "Event"; the show will consist of the 2-hour pilot plus 2 additional episodes, though if successful, the door is still being left open for it to continue as a series.
