Was anyone else shocked at the ending?

I was seriously psyched about this movie, the preview and trailer looked phenomenal but I had the experience of A.I. that left a bitter taste in my mouth as a sci-fi fanatic. The script was ok tho not very consistent but the ending left me wanting more for some reason..what did you think of the ending?
