Dollhouse benched -is this the end?

| loading

It has now been reported that FOX has chosen to take Dollhouse completely out of the November schedule. When the show returns in December it is set to air back-to-back episodes on fridays.

Dollhhouse has been struggling with it's ratings all season, so this seems like the final blow for the Joss Whedon series.

Sad, not at least, for all the fans who did a tremendous job last year showing their support in order to get the show back for a second season. Season 2 consists of 13 eps.

I really think that if Dollhouse had any other actress in the lead role it would have done better. Eliza Dushku is just so hard to like. Caroline/Echo is supposed to be this compasionate "save the world" woman, but With Eliza as the lead she just comes off as a "too cool" spoiled diva.

I hope Enver Gjokaj (Victor) gets a lot of work after Dollhouse. I really think he's been brilliant in the show. As an active he really seems like a different personality each time. He's definitely been one of the high points on the show.

Well put with the Enver Gjokaj plug... I think he shows a diverse talent. I'd also like to see Dichen Lachen get a few more roles. Not only is she beautiful, she also shows a tremendous amount of potential.

I am a fan of Eliza Dushku and of Joss Whedon and I was really looking forward to this series, when it finally came out I was very disappointed, the writing really lacked, the dialogue was terrible. I stopped watching after only two episodes, when I heard they did rewriting for the rest of the series I started to watch again but it still just wasn't there. In a series where every week the leads take on different personalities how are we as viewers to come to love a character and want to watch every week to see what happens to them and how they handle it. There was only so much that could be done with this show, maybe it would have made a better movie.

    WTF??? :o

ENOUGH with TV-shows cancellations! I really like this show, it's defitely original. I think the actress is doing a great job and I really hope they don't stop it. However last episode sucked with the whole mother-baby dull storyline... but hey, that's only because I'm no big fan of kids :-)

seriously? Joss Whedon is a great writer and i can see that this is a show that is meant for several seasons to get going....... that she's now starting to remember things....... but and Eliza is a good actress too.... and some of the "roles" she had to play as a doll a softer actress wouldnt have been able to pull off... also other actors and actresses in this series are awesome... but as some other people said with the individual scripts for episodes they could have done better on some.

This series is amazing. its really deep which may be why some people don't like it or get it. Eliza Dushku is an extremely talented actress. i think she is perfect for the part. i think the casting choice for alpha was weird. so far second season is awesome. the show just makes you think on a deeper level does taking away your memories take away your soul or your feelings. the subtleties that effect us. I really hope they don't axe the show.

I agree. The trouble is us. WE have to adapt to a new 'character' and a new storyline every week and it doesn't led itself to any real character development. A brave and original show that just didn't lay down quite right.
