When it came to the final 4 vicious vile villains in Round 3, it was barely a contest for the final duel. Let the final fight for the most evil TV villain begin!
Here's how it works:

Only kids destroy their toys the real villains are the ones that want to own and control everyone else's toys.

either way. in a fight sylar would bear angelus most likely but the vote is for who is the most evil and thus Angelus wins hands down. sylar mostly kills to further his goals and to get stronger. most of the time his killing has reason behind it. He enjoys it but theres still reason to it. Angelus kills for fun, because he's bored. oh and he tried to end the world.....

Again, as mentioned before, this is over who is the most EVIL!!! Not who would win in a fight. What some of you are failing to incorporate is just how sadistic Angelus really is. And just how good at it he is. Causing misery is a skill he has perfected over centuries. He treats torture like the best kind of art. Killing children and rearranging them in bed for their father to see? Killing the woman that someone loves and setting up a romantic entrance with rose petals and champagne only to find her murdered corpse sprawled on the bed? Angelus wins hands down. I mean... think about it. Which would you rather have to be killed by? With one you get a quick if remarkably unpleasant death. With the other, you will be psychologically and physically tortured until you wish you were dead, and then when you finally are you will just be another step in torturing someone else.
The guy is just scary. Just watching him on the television knowing its all fake gives you chills. Angelus!

As pointed out, Angelus has no soul, no compassion. Therefore, his evil actions don't effect him the same way it would a human, even if he does do the more evil deeds. Sylar, on the other hand, has the capability of compassion. Yet he chooses to ignore it when he goes around killing people.

Stupid people see a contest between two bad ass killers and they automatically assume that it is based on strength. Everything that needs to be said about Angelus has been said. HE HAS NO SOUL!! End of competition. Sylar on the other hand loves. When we see the flash forward when Peter is trying to save the world, Sylar is married and has a kid who he will go to any lengths to protect, and when his kid dies, he kills himself and the killers in a radioactive burst of flames. His remorseful cry as he sees his son is dead proves he is not inherently evil, his power forces him to try to understand the nature of everything, leading him to try to understand how the powers work, leading him to his first kill. After he begins killing people he believes that it's a part of his nature and that he is evil, but once he has a kid he learns to control his power and he becomes good. Angelus kicks Sylar's ass in evilness.

Ok first of all Sylar could not take Angelus's powers, Angelus does not have mutant powers, he is a demon, Sylar could not take them, who is to say that Sylar could even control him, Angelus does not have a heartbeat nor does he breathe, this makes him silent so Sylar could not even use his super hearing to hear him coming, you can cut, stab or shoot Angelus and he will keep coming, so i think Angelus would win!

Hardly a fair contest. If Angelus knew about the decapitation or the blade into the back of the head (or is that spot still shifting about) then I'd say Angelus, just for purest evil. But Sylar can fly, resurrect, disappear, etc etc etc any super power you can think of really, so pitting him against anyone is just dullsville.

Angelus for sure. He practices killing as an art form. He's a genius when it comes to the psychology of his victims, finding just the right dig to torment and break them down. Plus, he thoroughly enjoys it and has no motive which is freakin scary. My bet is he'd get in Sylar's head and evenutally destroy him just for the fun of it. It'd be a challenge for him, and he'd love it.

Having watched every episode of Buffy and being up-to-date with Heroes, I'm definitely going to have to say Sylar.
Why? Because I think that true evil needs to understand goodness in order to be evil. The vampires of the Buffyverse are just Generic Evil - soulless husks bent on killing for ... no actual reason. I can remember Angelus being that - generic. You can argue that not needing a reason for being 'evil' is in fact more evil ... but it's just really, really lame. He might have killed and tortured and tried to bring the apocalypse ... but he can't feel his evil anyway: he has no soul.
Sylar is a human being. He *is* capable of feeling remorse and guilt, and the fact that his conscience doesn't really exist for the majority of the series is in fact what makes him more evil. Sylar was going to kill Molly, a child, for her ability and brutally, brutally murders her parents. He tortured Isaac before slicing his head off and stealing his ability. He murders every one of his 'special' victims in a horrifying manner. He plans to do anything within his supreme power to become the ruler of his special world and lies, deceives and cheats his way to the top. Why? Because he wants to be supreme. Sylar knows the extent of his evil, and simply embraces it. He's had a few "good" moments, but to truly be evil you need to understand goodness anyway.
So, my vote is for Sylar.

I gotta go with Angelus on this one. They're both evil masterminds because they just *enjoy* killing and torturing so much, but Angelus has a century or two more experience on his side.

I think people need to stop making the argument that Sylar can be more evil because he has a soul and still commits evil anyway and therefore more evil then Angelus. Souls having one or not isn't a common factor that should be even discussed. The bottom line is Angelus is more evil, whatever Sylar does can't amount to what Angelus has done or will do if he shall ever return (See Angel: After the Fall the comic). Angelus is a expert in torture, he attempts to bring on the apocalypse, he is known throughout the vampire world as the most ruthless crusader for evil and he is ONLY a vampire, ONLY considered half-demon, and HE was known as one of the most ruthless crusaders of evil. Angelus (Not Angel) has full control over his evil, Sylar does not, he has a soul and sometimes he doubts himself, he loves where Angelus does not and will not and simply can't because he has no compassion or sympathy because he is the closest to true evil if not true evil itself more so then Sylar.
Sure the things Sylar has done is disgusting, but thats because a power which he had been born with turned him into a psychopath, he is constantly doubting himself and whining that he is a monster. Angelus doesn't whine, he doesn't care (Sure Angel whines and broods but thats a whole different character), Angelus believes fully in what he does, there is no competition here, Angelus ANGELUS is more evil. Just because he is soul-less and Sylar is not, doesn't mean just because Sylar has a soul he must be more evil because of the things he does with a soul.
Because this isn't a competition of how evil one can be with or without a soul.
This is Sylar vs. Angelus in a competition to which is more evil. And everything aside, Angelus is hands down more evil, and its no contest. If anyone knows Angelus, thinking that Sylar is more evil is just purely and utterly ridiculous.

Angelus definitely. Sylar is just selfish and wants power, Angelus likes to torture innocent people purely for his own pleasure. He also hates everything that has to do with being human. In the future, it was possible for sylar to be good and have a kid and stuff, completely normal. Also, I've felt sorry for Sylar sometimes, whereas I've never felt sorry for Angelus...

Also a point: yeah, Sylar's ability and thirst for knowledge did 'turn' him into a monster and a serial killer ... but by the middle of the 3rd/beginning of the 4th volume he doesn't bother about containing his hunger any more. He just embraces the darkness that comes with such a power and carries on with his quest for dominance. He sells out his 'special' bretheren to forward his own gain.
Simply "being" evil or "choosing" to be evil despite everything you know about goodness and justice ... which is the most evil?

He tortured Drusilla until she lost her mind, then turned her into a vampire so she would suffer an eternity of insanity... just for the fun of it. nailed someone's puppy to their door on valentines day. he has NO CONSCIENCE. Sylar cares about things, he has ties to people (for example, we see that he is capable of loving his son in the future, and that he can control his powers), whereas Angelus does not, as proven by the fact that he tries to end the world. Angelus is only NOT evil when he has a soul, and becomes Angel, which someone has to do TO him. For Sylar, evil is a choice, and one that he does not stick to very well, but for Angelus it's just his nature.

Should I pick, "100% evil all the time?" Or should I pick, "mostly evil with a chance of whiny little bitch?" It's not a tough choice people. Angelus is more evil.
I don't even buy into the whole "Sylar would win in a fight" assertion. If you dropped the two of them into a cage match to the death, sure Sylar would win, but if you set each one out to get the other from their respective home turf, I think Angelus would outwit and destroy Sylar.
What's the most intricate plan that Sylar ever had? Get close enough to the president to take his place? Boring and stupid. Angelus has a sharp mind that loves to outwit and destroy an opponent in the most fiendish way possible and has 200 years worth of experience doing exactly that.
I can't imagine how much fun Angelus would have with tormenting a soul trapped in a body that constantly regenerates after the most vicious and brutal torture.

I would have to disagree with what you said about the vampires of the Buffyverse not being able to feel their evil. Since you've watched every episode of Buffy, then you know that Spike, even when he was soulless, was able to feel guilty for his actions. Yes, he is inherently evil, but after he tried to rape Buffy, he was immediately horrified with his actions and that is why he sought a soul. He was evil, but he actually wanted a soul. I guess it's the age old argument of nature vs. nurture. Spike without a soul does evil deeds without it having an effect on his conscience, but after a couple of years of being in love with Buffy and working alongside her, he decides that he wants to be a better man.
And this is why I say having a soul or not having a soul does not matter in deciding who is more evil. Angelus could've gone in Spike's route- couldn't he? He could have decided that he was still in love with Buffy and that he didn't want to torment her or suck the entire world into hell. But Angelus, being the sadistic evil vampire he is, chose to stalk and drive Buffy and her friends insane in every way possible.
It's all about choice. Another example would be Harmony. She's evil for all intents and purposes of the word, but not really. The girl can't even fight. She probably would have no problem with killing someone for food or if they were trying to kill her, but in Angel season 5 she chooses to work him on the good side (until the series finale, that is). Just like Spike and Harmony, Angelus made his choices (which were definitely evil ones), so I don't believe it's a good argument to say that Sylar is more evil just because his conscience didn't exist for the majority of the series.

It says "Who's the most evil?" but then it says to pick who would emerge victorious. So if you're asking who's the most evil, I'd say Angelus, but if you're asking who would emerge victorious, I'd say Sylar.
In all fairness I didn't think of Spike and his conscience. He's a much more interesting character than Angelus in my opinion. Again, Angelus' evil-for-evil's-sake doesn't interest me as far as character progression goes. Spike is different to Angelus, yes, but Angelus doesn't feel his own evil. To me, Sylar's total disregard for his emotional feelings after he began to understand them makes him so much more interesting and sinister in my eyes.

I do not know who angelus is because I have never watched BtVS enough to know, but by the comments people have made he is hell bent in the pleasure of torture, that is very sick, Sylar I would fear more than this guy, he would just make me pure sick and angry but not scared. With Sylar I would not know what to do there is no way around him. He is too powerful and unless your another mutant there's no way round him. The term 'evil' is becoming very philosophical in when choosing either this angelus or Sylar. I would not watch heroes without sylar, he is the flare of the show. As for now I do not know who Angelus is, I will choose Sylar.

another reason for angelus being the most evil is well...imagine waking up to find a picture of yourself sketched to perfection? how freaked would you be?
angelus would go to his victims house, watch them sleep, and leave them a sketch for them to find when they wake up so that they'd know he was there and could kill them whenever he wanted to. he is obsessed with evil on all levels. the fact that he'd leave clues and scare everyone to death...instead of just killing them right away....clearly shows how evil he is and how much he enjoys it. he lives for the chase and thrill. he pretty much feeds off of fear. he perfects evil in all ways. so i see why people say he's an artist lol. i hope I've convinced you sylar fans who is most evil...all else i can think to say is....refresh your memory and go watch btvs episodes lol.

lordspanq, i have to wonder if you know what you are talking about. angel and angelus are completely different characters. angelus doesn't become angel at all. angelus was and always will be evil. and he isn't just a berserker, he has a greater purpose/intention behind everything he does. he's manipulative and conniving. angelus doesn't just go on a killing spree. he plots. when angel loses his soul, and angelus takes over, he has no recollection of what has happened and it's as if he's gone in a deep sleep for the past months. angelus is the demon possessing Liam's(before turning vampire, that was his name as a human) vampire body, and angel is a vampire with Liam's soul and memories. that was kind of hard to explain and sounds confusing. they are different characters entirely, but in the same body. whether or not the soul is there determines who is controlling Liam's body, angel or angelus.
in other words, angelus has no heart to grow bigger.

I'm certain if more people actually read the key word "EVIL" instead of substituiting "powerful" in the title they would realize Sylar's evil is pathetic compared to Angelus's centuries of relentless unmerciful evil.

Angelus relishes in the pain, torment, and psychological destruction he causes. Angelus IS evil.
Sylar on the other hand gives into evil. It isn't the center of his being. We see time and time again when Sylar fights the evil, learns to hold it back. Sylar has his evil moments, but that's what they are, moments. Sylar isn't completely evil, he just gives into it. Angelus is evil, through and through it's all that he is.

First off I'm gonna point out what has been pointed out over and over and over again. This is about who is more/the most evil not who would win in a damn fight. You should really do your research before you speak......I say that to everyone who says Sylar is more evil......Do your research on the cruel things Angelus has done.......Who is more sadistic?
