A final decision has not yet been made, but it's looking like there may not be a third season of the hilarious, Emmy-nominated HBO comedy, Flight of the Conchords.
Star Jemaine Clement told Reuters that "he needs to discuss the future of the show with his co-star, Bret McKenzie, and with the director of the series", but that he feels as though due to the amount of work that the show requires (between writing both the show and its accompanying songs), a third season may not be feasible.
Clement did comment that "It could come back in a shorter season or like a special", and HBO is most certainly leaving the door open for any of those options.
How upset would you be if it turns out that Season 2 is the last for Flight of the Conchords?

I love the band and I loved the 1st season, but the 2nd season already felt forced and like they were just throwing songs together for the sake of having something to go with the episodes. 1st season felt much more clever and like the show worked with the songs instead of the songs being worked up for the show, so if that would continue to be the case for Season 3, I'd rather they focus on something shorter like a special... or 10... over the years. ;)
agree with kendra on the way she feels about season 2 of conchords. but it still stands out from most comedy shows. i'd be really upset if they're gone for good. nice to know they will be returning if a VERY MUCH DESIRED SEASON3 WOULD NOT HAPPEN. XD
I would be very upset i love the show.
