The Simon Baker crime drama The Mentalist, which just began its second season on CBS, has netted a rich off-network syndication deal with TNT.
The cable network will start airing reruns in fall 2011.
The show is said to have fetched more than $2 million an episode, a broadcast-series record, but neither TNT nor syndicator Warner Bros. Domestic TV Distribution would comment.
"The Mentalist" was the top new series last season, and has been a solid performer this fall in its new Thursday 10 p.m. slot.

Good for Psych-Lite, nice to see what ripping off someone elses idea can get you. Let this be a lesson to everyone, never be creative yourself, its much easier to just repackage someone elses creativity.
in d mentalists defence psych is a comedy n d mentalist isn't really.
i dont even know y all this is happening, d mentalist is mediocre show.
I have to admit there are a lot of similarties and there are a lot of differences but really look at Twilight I found that there is a million things it copied off of from different shows and movies and its a great hit its how people get good shows take some other people's ideas and make it your own now whoever created the Mentalist got farther than Psych
It doesnt matter how much they repackage it differently, just ask yourself where did they get this idea? Psych is successful that what do you know, right on the heels of that success here comes, The Mentalist, Lie to Me, Mental.....Its funny now how Psych always makes fun of The Mentalist in their show, they actually acknowledge that they know The Menatalist ripped off of them, In one episode Shawn explains the mentalist to Gus and Gus says "That sounds familar" then Shawn says "No he used to be a fake psychic, otherwise it'd be a virtual carbon copy" Thats awesome they actually call them on it with dialouge in their show.
