How stupid do these people people actually think we are??
The plot of this episode was unbelievingly stupid and without any reason whatsoever. I guess the REAL scriptwriter was probably on vacation. If you really listened to the dialogues going on here, you would notice how shallow this episode really was. I mean, jesus, how stupid do they actually think we really are?Not one simple thing that happened in ths episode actually made the LEAST bit of sense.A girl showing up for the first time since the start of this show, and all of a sudden, the lady sherrif really believes SHE is the one and only reason all the killings have ever happened? And now every one is safe?..For the love of GOD..NOONE can be THAT stupid. Not even a person who is a fan of this show! Please!Tell me YOU my dear TV Show Lover, agree with me, that this episode is a honest and true SELL out!

Honestly, I think the whole show is one big predictable Twilight knock off. From the minute I saw Lexi, I knew that she was either gonna become a regular on the show or she wasn't gonna live through the episode. Damon played the sheriff way too easily. What I don't understand is how in the hell did he just come out of nowhere to stake Lexi, and the sheriff doesn't find this suspicious at all. But again, it's whatever. I'm only watching the show to fill the void that HBO left in me when True Blood aired it's season finale and I have to wait damn near a whole year for the next season.
Throw One Tree Hill, Twilight a string of pretty replaceable actors in a mixer and voilĂ , you've got: The Vampire Diaries.
The reason I started watching it in the first place is Ian Somerhalder. But as fun as it is to watch him playing a diabolical vampire, one great villain doesn't make for a good show.
Their attempt at being original by randomly killing off characters is just cheap trick for attention that gets old really fast and only hurts the show in the long run.
I'm loosing my patience with this show.
I will say this they could have used mind control to make the sheriff believe that Lexi was the killer. I mean there was a chance she wasn't wearing that stuff that keeps your mind from being manipulated. Also the vampires move really fast in case you haven't noticed and the sheriff isn't that bright. I also would like to mention although I have never read the books personally I do know for a fact that Vampire Diaries was around far longer than that of the Twilight Saga. So if anything Twilight may have been inspired by the books Vampire Diaries. Just a theory and we know how writers tend to skew from the orginal work. So if you're dissatisfied with the show try reading a book. I'm not saying this show doesn't have plotline holes, but people don't be movie critics. This show is about escapism. If something doesn't make sense let it go and remember this is a fantasy show. None of it is real.
no it was not.
i enjoyed it.
and thats all i care about.
relax
its fun to watch a mediocre show and laugh at bits that arent meant to be funny
First of all vampire diares is not a twilight knock off because the vampire diaries was around before twilight. For those who do not enter book stores I speak of books not movies and shows. Vampire diaries predates the twilight saga. Sorry to dissappoint. Number two quit being movie critics. The show is about escapism. It's story of fantasy which means that the writers don't have to worry for once whether things make sense because hello it's fantasy. None of it is real. Also the sheriff is kind of dumb anyway so one of those vampires could feed in front of her and she would still be clueless.
i have to agree that this episode was not good, she atleast should have relised that ther is a nother vampire in town.
i liked lexy but she i knew she wouldn't have a long roll in the serie, becouse she could easly kill damon and that wouldn't leave any room for him to be evil.
This show is loosely based on the book. LOOSELY. The writers used the basics for the book and pushed a teen twist much like One Tree Hill as smartmonkey already mentioned. The Twilight series and the The Vampire Diaries aren't that far apart, but they certainly aren't as close together as the writers of this tv show are making them. But whatever, CW sucks anyway. They always try to capitalize on whatever's hot at the moment, which in this case happens to be vampires.
And just because it's fantasy, doesn't mean I want the writers to throw a series crappy plotlines at me. The idea would be to bring the characters to life and not have them be so one dimensional... (coughs) True Blood is better (coughs) Lol. But the show might get better, at least I certainly hope it does. I'm interested in Bonnie's storyline.
Vampire Diaries is just entertaining Until the real Vampire show come on, Wich is the new season of True Blood. But Vampire Diaries isnt good i love it and the actor are good also
I enjoyed V Diaries, but the past to episodes have been semi-entertaining, largely predictable, cheesy, and horribly written. They were enough to show me that this is not a vampire show, its a teen drama (re: One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, etc.) that thinks its creative because it uses vampires. Thus, it is safe to say that Vampire Diaries has lost a veiwer. I have lost all interest in what happens next.
you can say i have low standards but i think v diaries has been pretty alright so far, i read both the sookie stackhouse books and the orig v diary books... and i am not a true blood fan at all...i think that especially after tonight's episode v diaries is heading somewhere.
it might not seem believable or make sense to you guys why the sheriff would believe Damon so easily, but maybe you missed the point...she thinks he has already dealt with vampires in the past and has experience so really whatever he did to get lexi made sense...plus i don't think she expects there to be more than one vampire there...nothing has indicated that to her..
maybe you have to read the books to fully get into the mindset and understand it...but i do agree the writers could step it up a bit ...stephan's character is great but its hard to see it when you keep comparing him to edward cullen from twilight...
and yes, the CW is capitalizing on the whole vampire craze...but all the better for us, at least i have choice between true blood and v diairies this way
