Aeolus Send a Compliment at 20:54 PST, 9 November, 2009ABC has opted not to order additional episodes of "Eastwick," its rookie supernatural comedy-drama starring Rebecca Romijn.
Eastwick, a fresh take on the hit 1987 movie "The Witches of Eastwick," will finish production on 13 episodes; ABC plans to run them all.
ABC is also yanking its reality show "Let's Dance," which was supposed to premiere on November 23 with Kathy Griffin hosting.
Sources said ABC had difficulty casting the series, which is a common problem for networks when developing celebrity-driven reality fare, though usually such projects don't get so far in the process as to have a premiere date.
How bummed are you about the Eastwick cancellation?

ABC should go Buy-off Eleventh hor from CBS and make a second seaons it would be money wa better spet then on this ouvious witch town flop...
ABC tok some great inniciative the last few seasons ... Castle,FlashForward and V are the living breading proof!! So say we let them decide on when(becasue i think it bound to happen) they pull the plus on this show...

Eastwick is AWESOME. One of the more enjoyable shows to come out recently. I hope that ABC comes to it's senses and reverses this decision. I'm already starting to miss Eastwick, and it isn't even over yet. BOOOOOOOOOOOO
AlexFizz - sober up! Seriously though, I agree that Kings and Philanthropist are great shows.
I am angry! Eastwick is an engaging show. The characters and the character development is engaging. The actors and actoresses are fantastic in their roles. Mr. Gross was in Due South which was a wonderful show. The fans fought for it and it was saved for a little while but it too was cancelled. He is an excellent actor. I also remember him from the brief cable series, "Slings and Arrows," which was also excellent. I saw him a movie a long time ago shere he co-starred with Peter Berg. He is very talented and under-used. Rebecca Romjin has surprised me with her acting ability. She makes her character seem real even though the show itself is a fantasy. All the other actors, as I said before, make me want to watch to see what will happen in their lives next. I want them to play out the history of "Darrel" to find out how Veronica Cartwright's and Sybil Sheppard's characters were involved with him when he (under a different persona) was in Eastwich before. I am INVOLVED in this show people! I look forward to this show, people! I'm talking to the network people who are responsible for cancelling really good shows before they have had a fair trial. Not all shows catch on quickly. I think a lot of people don't watch this show because they look at the premise and think that it's "just another supernatural/fantasy show," which it is not. This show has imagination. It is a mystery within a mystery. Why is it that everytime a show that is entertaining, engaging, intelligent and character-driven comes along the network idiots - yes that's what most of you appear to be based on the majority of the decisions you all make - cancel it! If you do cancel it for real and the fan base, meager as it appears to be at this point, I certainly hope that you resolve all the unresolved questions and issues. In other words, there better be a real FINALE to this show that closes all the doors or you will just leave those of us who are loyal to this show with one more frustrating, sad dissapointment. I guess I should be used to that by now but I can't seem to give up hope that someone in charge will get a clue! Poop on You, powers that be!
I just freaking started watching it, got all into it, and it's being canceled... What a bummer. It was kinda like charmed, and I loved charmed...

i cannot believe they are cancelling this show. it never fails i get interested in a show then they cancel it...first Invasion then cashmiere mafia now Eastwick. geezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz i hope they change their minds
Do you think the networks really care about what you like? It's all about ratings, specifically, among 20-45 year old men. The rest doesn't even exist for them.
This makes me so mad! My fiance and I love this show. Anything that is not a crime drama is always at risk of getting cancelled! Boooo
I gotta say, I'm disappointed. I enjoy this show and have been saying for the last few days I was excited to see the next since last week's episode wasn't aired. I wish they would give it more of a chance. There's not a lot of competition in it's time slot & as things get more settled for people, I'm sure it'll pick up! I enjoy how these 2 women interact so naturally though they've just met. And I like seeing their "powers" develop along with them. It's such an addictive show and I don't want to see it go.
